I ordered flowers from farmstogo.com for my daughter's Quinceañera in May, when I received the flowers I followed their instructions & the flowers opened up so beautiful, her Godmother & I fixed the centerpieces &  they where simple but beautiful, the main centerpieces where amazing I also did my daughter's bouquet and the girls corsages & boys boutonnieres also used some to decorate the cake table, we did so much, we were so happy  with the results & I will recommend flowerstogo.com for your presentations, their flowers are very high quality & their prices are the best .We did not wasted any single piece of flower, they were all in use. Some of the guest called me weeks  after to tell me their flowers still open & where did I got them. It was such an excited experience, we had so much fun. Thanks to Farms ToGo for helping my daughter's Quinceañera be so special. We were & still are very pleased with the results. Here are some pictures of what we did, unfortunately I don't have picture of the main centerpieces but everything came out so beautiful.

Advantages of farm direct flowers.

posted by FarmsToGo Bridal Blog @ 8:51pm, Tuesday 26 August 2008.

When talking about fresh cut flowers a consumer has always to assure that he will get the quality in terms of size and colors of the product and most of all its freshness that will guarantee a vase life that will go beyond his or hers needs and expectations.

Today 85 % of the fresh cut flowers sold in the American markets are imported from countries like Colombia Ecuador Israel and Holland. The logistics used by regular wholesale chains will try to guarantee what is most important for the preservation of the product, its cold chain which means the product is kept under refrigeration during the whole process of delivery from farm to consumption. For the most part today flowers coming from this countries will keep its cold chain except for the time spent on board planes that are normally not a problem since temperatures will remain in a acceptable range and are accordingly vacuum cooled in most opportunities after they arrive.

Even under refrigeration conditions a fresh cut flower will sart its life cycle the moment it is cut from the plant and proper treatment and refrigeration will only prolong this cycle. In the regular wholesale process a flower will take from a minimum of 8 days and to up to 30 days to go through the distribution chain, farm, plane, importer, truck, wholesaler, truck, retailer and finally to the consumer.

As a consumer you will always be confronted with the challenge of how well and how long have the flowers you are buying been in this process.

With the appearance of International Courier services that will guarantee a flower will be delivered to a final consumer or retailer in less than 24 hours companies that innovated in there commercial schemes like Farms To Go .com have gained trust and customer satisfaction by placing a flower that was cut internationally, properly hydrated and treated, properly packed and shipped before 3 pm, clear customs and agriculture inspections to finally be delivered before 10:30 am the next day at the customers door step.

Main concerns about this system are:

Un expected delays in customs and agriculture clearance

Prolonged delivery time on board the courier trucks at destination specially during the summer days do to high delivery volumes.

Farmstogo.com has managed to keep problems do to this factors by introducing ice packs in its boxes during the summer months to the products that are definitely sensible to heat and creating close relations by analyzing processes and interacting with both US Customs and Agriculture that have gain us a name and trust during 7 years with this delivery system.

Today we are proud to say and stand behind our beliefs, in fresh cut flowers customer satisfaction means fresh product and 24 hour delivery at unbelievable pricing.
